Ganbaride, Monster Hunter, MdN & Book Illustration
In 2008, Arita's work ranged from Bandai arcade advertising and two generations of Monster Hunter card games to Final Fantasy XI, children's books, a Zen-health publication and a rarely documented MdN software review. The year marks the beginning of Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride, for which he ultimately created more than twenty promotional illustrations through 2012.

20 August — 100歳まで元気に生きる「禅健康法」 by Katsunori Kabashima was published by Mikasa Shobo in the Chiteki Ikikata Bunko collection; 206 pages, ISBN 9784837977315. Secondary bibliographic records credit Arita for illustrations.
25 October — Arita began contributing to Capcom's separate Monster Hunter Hunting Card series.
12 December — ガフールの勇者たち 8〈新しい王〉の誕生 was released; ISBN 9784040666372.
26 December — Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride launched as a Bandai Data Carddass arcade game with Arita contributing illustration and promotional artwork.
Arita later confirmed that he produced more than twenty Ganbaride advertising illustrations between 2008 and 2012.
A documented Final Fantasy XI work from the year is Great Figures of the Crystal War, Vol. II, featuring Azima, Dalzakk and Choh Moui.
