The surviving record for 2005 is less complete than the surrounding years, but it documents both the transition toward Arita's better-known Final Fantasy XI work and continuing Pokémon-related commercial illustration. Surviving products include a Charizard deck case and THE REVIVAL OF LUGIA collection file released through Pokémon Center.

His work prepared the way for the documented Vana'diel Tribune II illustration cycle visible from 2006 onward.
