In 2013, Mitsuhiro Arita returned to the world of Vana'diel for Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin. His involvement went beyond the standalone illustrations he had produced for Final Fantasy XI over the previous years: Arita has explained that he also participated in the production of cutscene-related visual work for the expansion. The year also marked the completion of the Berserk: The Golden Age theatrical trilogy, another major project to which he contributed concept design.
