Final Fantasy XI — The Later Vana'diel Years
In 2014, Mitsuhiro Arita continued his long-running collaboration with Square Enix on Final Fantasy XI. More than a decade after he was first invited to illustrate the world of Vana'diel, Arita was still producing official artwork for the game's website, seasonal events and world-building publications. Several of his works from this year remain preserved in Square Enix's official Final Fantasy XI archives, providing a particularly well-documented view of the later years of his involvement with the project.

He created the official Final Fantasy XI New Year illustration published on January 1, 2014.
A documented 2014 work is Vana'diel Tribune III No. 4, preserved in Square Enix's official Final Fantasy XI anniversary archive.
Arita provided the illustration accompanying the 2014 Egg Hunt seasonal event.
He also illustrated the 2014 Feast of Swords seasonal event.

18 April — Guardians of Ga'Hoole Episode 0 was released in Japan with Arita credited for the Japanese edition's illustration work.
