Pokémon TAG TEAM Exhibition & Event ART CARD
In 2023, Mitsuhiro Arita revisited his Pokémon TCG work through an exhibition devoted to his Sun & Moon TAG TEAM packaging art and commentary on its creation. During the same year, he launched the Event ART CARD project, a new series of original fantasy artworks created to commemorate appearances around the world, beginning in Melbourne and continuing in Paris and Oslo.

A Pokémon TCG exhibition presented Arita's Sun & Moon TAG TEAM packaging artwork in March 2023.
Arita published additional commentary explaining the creation of the TAG TEAM package art.
Arita launched the Event ART CARD project in 2023.
The project developed from the popularity of his existing A5 ART CARD prints.
Arita decided to create newly drawn original artwork commemorating individual events and convention appearances.
Unlike his licensed commercial illustration work, the subjects of the Event ART CARD series are drawn from Arita's own original fantasy world.
Each Event ART CARD is produced in two forms: LIMITED and COMMON.
LIMITED editions are exclusive to the corresponding event, serialized and individually signed by Arita, usually with a print run of 300 copies.
COMMON editions are also event-exclusive but can continue to be offered at Arita's later appearances.
Event ART CARD #01 debuted at TRA CON 2023 in Melbourne, Australia.
Arita appeared at TRA CON on August 19–20, where he also performed live drawing and participated in a Q&A.
On August 22, Arita held an additional sketch and live demonstration event in Melbourne.
On August 24, he gave a presentation and watercolor demonstration in Melbourne.
Event ART CARD #02 was created for Paris Manga #34 in Paris, France.
Arita appeared at Paris Manga on October 28–29, 2023.
His Paris Manga appearance included a live drawing, which Arita later planned to auction after returning to Japan.
Event ART CARD #03 was created for OkOk 2023 in Oslo, Norway.
Arita appeared in Oslo on November 25–26 and performed another live drawing.
The Event ART CARD project established an ongoing chronological series connecting Arita's original fantasy artwork with his international appearances.
天空ノ幻獣園 (Sky Phantom Beast Garden), Volume 1, was published, extending Arita's work in original fantasy-book illustration.
